LITIGATION AND APPEALS

Our firm’s attorneys handle energy related litigation, including administrative litigation and related federal appeals in a number of the U.S. Courts of Appeals, as well as prosecuting and defending cases in state and federal trial courts throughout the United States. The firm’s attorneys are licensed to practice in four states (California, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia) and in the District of Columbia. The firm’s attorneys are also authorized to practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Third, Fifth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

TRANSACTIONS

GKRSE counsels and represents private and public clients in various aspects of energy transactions. These include:

• negotiating power sales, purchase, transmission and interconnection agreements;


• negotiating natural gas supply and transportation agreements;


• issuing opinion letters for lenders and others on various energy statutes and regulatory requirements;


• managing the acquisition or sale of existing energy projects.
